Add to Calendar 2014-09-05 2014-09-05 35 Soft Machine Legacy at Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho In this special concert John Etheridge performs with the Soft Machine Legacy. In 1975 Etheridge joined the legendary pioneering group Soft Machine. In 2004, a reunion group came together of Elton Dean, Hugh Hopper ,John Marshall and Etheridge. Sadly Elton and Hugh have passed on, but the group continues with a reunion of the Class of '75 – Roy Babbington (bass), Marshall (drums) and Etheridge (who together recorded the acclaimed ‘Softs’ album), joined by 8 year member, Theo Travis (saxophone, flute).

For these two nights a very special guest has been added - none other than the celebrated avant garde pianist Keith Tippett, a veteran of the improvising scene, erstwhile member of King Crimson, and leader of numerous renowned groups including Centipede and Ovary Lodge.
