A fresh approach to the street brass band genre featuring infectious original music whilst avoiding the cliché of being yet another New Orleans pastiche group. Led by London-based musician Ben Somers who composes, sings, is superbly fluent all the saxophones and plays double bass. His credits include Seal, Dr John, Taylor Swift, St Paul & The Broken Bones and many more. neil waters trumpet, Trevor Mires trombone, Ben Somers saxes, Graham Hughes sousaphone & Pat Levett drums.
PLEASE NOTE: The Spice of Life has been working hard and has provided extra staff to meet the government requirements (social distancing and table service) to ensure a safe environment for our audience. We have been advised to recommend a minimum spend of £10/£15 (2 pints of beer or a main meal) from each audience member to make it viable for the artists and the Spice of Life pub.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
