In 1975 Etheridge joined the legendary pioneering group Soft Machine. In 2004, a reunion group came together of Elton Dean, Hugh Hopper ,John Marshall and Etheridge. Sadly Elton and Hugh have passed on, but the group continues with a reunion of the Class of '75 – Roy Babbington (bass), Marshall (drums) and Etheridge (who together recorded the acclaimed ‘Softs’ album), joined by 8 year member, Theo Travis (saxophone, flute).

For these two nights a very special guest has been added - none other than the celebrated avant garde pianist Keith Tippett, a veteran of the improvising scene, erstwhile member of King Crimson, and leader of numerous renowned groups including Centipede and Ovary Lodge.

“‘Burden of Proof’ (the new Legacy CD ) is to put it mildly, absolutely exquisite" (Pete Pardo, Sea of Tranquillity)

"The Band's partnership with Tippett sounded so inspired." Matthew Wright
