Niamh Mcnally at 606 Club
A terrific success every time she plays here, Niamh (pronounced “Neeve”) returns to the 606 to perform a selection of faultless originals plus a mix of her favourite songs combining jazz and soul grooves. Originally from Belfast, Niamh is held in the highest regard on the London scene and can be seen touring regularly with iconic singer Gilbert O’Sullivan, who said of her, “one of the finest vocalists I’ve ever worked with…if not THE finest!", high praise indeed. She also worked with famed broadcaster & media personality Sir Terry Wogan for a number of years, being a featured vocalist on the "Weekend Wogan Show" (Radio 2). These high-profile gigs aside, Niamh is also a songwriter affiliated with Universal Publishing for whom she writes music for film & TV. Tonight she will be showcasing her soulful vocals, piano and songwriting skills presenting a mix of great “Groove” originals and classic standards, performed impeccably with her powerful and cultured voice and a band of some of the finest musicians around, including the excellent guitarist Nial Tompkins (Ola Onabule, Beverley Skeete), keyboard player Simon Carter and bassist Phil Mulford (Jacqui Hicks Band) and drummer Jack Pollitt (Mama’s Gun, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran). A rare opportunity to see this outstanding singer leading her own band in an intimate venue and highly recommended....
