Turner Sims is delighted to welcome back Tim Garland, one of the UK’s most formidable saxophonists and composers, to collaborate with the young talent of Southampton Youth Jazz Orchestra.
Following 2019’s memorable collaboration with trio Phronesis, this year SYJO celebrate Tim’s releases on Edition Records with special big band versions of featured tracks from various albums, particularly One, his 2016 release and Jazzwise Album of the Year. Other pieces include the title track from his Weather Walker album, and Abiding Love, the opening track from Return to the Fire.
